2 months old

Rachel went in for her two month appointment. It was sad to see her get immunizations, ouchie. We are happy she is healthy and growing well.

My Helpers

This is how Mary and Rachel help me in the kitchen. Mary helps me pour and do other things. It doesn't seem nice if Rachel isn't with us, so she swings or I wear her in the sling. It's a group effort!

Date Night

Murray and I went on a great date together. We couldn't decide between two places to eat. So we went to both! First a Tai restaurant just to have california rolls and then another restaurant for dinner. We would have gone for ice cream too if we had the time and appetite.

Valentine

Valentine's Day is a special holiday for Murray and I for several reasons. Murray had a rose delivered to me when we were teenagers in High School with a sweet note (that is really how it all started), he made an amazing dinner for me before he left on his mission, we were engaged on Valentine's Day and we danced to the song Valentine by Martina McBride at our wedding reception. All of these events are so special to us. Murray has always made an effort to make it a nice day for me.
This year was pretty busy with two little girls but we enjoyed the day with home made cards, heart pancakes, heart cookies, pizza and watching Murray play basketball. Mary watched Murray play basketball almost the entire time and would say "Yea Daddy" when he had the ball. It was great!

Friends

We have been trading babysitting with friends so the parents can go on date nights. It is great all the way around because Mary loves playing with her friends and Murray and I appreciate having an uninterrupted conversation :) The girls are A LOT of fun to watch play together!

These little head wraps produced many giggles while running around

Cheez-It

Murray walked out the door just like any other morning but unlike every morning came right back in. Why? There was a Cheez-It hanging from the end of his tie. These kinds of things just don't happen until you have children!

Up Close and Personal

Mary just loves Rachel! I hope Rachel loves Mary because she gets quite a bit of her big sister! These girls are so much fun! I love watching them together.

Mary is talking more each day. Everyday she makes me laugh out loud. She likes to tell people...

The President of the United States is "President Obama"

The Prophet is "Thomas S. Monson"

How do you spell Mary? "M-A-R-Y" (good thing we didn't name her Elizabeth)

"Sorry Mommy" when she throws something on the ground from her high chair and "Thank you Mommy" when I am changing her diaper.

Yesterday she stopped saying "yea" and now everything is "Yes". What a big girl.

Do Not Disturb

Rachel likes to sleep with a blanket over her face. I don't put her to sleep that way but it is usually how I find her. It is still pretty disturbing to me but she really likes it. When she is crying it will calm her down if you cover her face. I guess she is a true introvert. Mary would get so upset at this age if a bow fell over her face but not Miss Rachel.
