A Night At The Movies

We took Mary to the movie theater for the first time this past week. We figured she would love it because she likes to watch TV, videos, youtube, etc. We saw Horton Hears a Who. Here is Murray and Mary just outside the theater.

Margaret bought some popcorn and Mary really enjoyed eating that and sitting in her own seat. When the movie started, Mary was pretty interested for a little while, but then wanted to get up and move around.

In the end, her favorite part was playing on the race car video game in the theater lobby. She sat on it and turned the steering wheel for a long time and loved it.

I don't know that we'll try a movie again for some time, but we are happy we went and gave it a shot.

Say a little prayer for you

Mary just started to fold her arms when we say "time for prayer". It is so cute to see her fold those chubby arms! Yesterday she kept folding her arms and insisting that it was time to say a prayer. If I hesitated she would clear her throat and cough until I offered a prayer. We did this while we were playing, folding laundry, stopped at a red light, at the grocery store, on the swing set in the back yard and everywhere else we were that day. We prayed for everyone I could think of and I am pretty sure we covered all of our family members individually. Mary really enjoys saying "Amen" at the end. It really is so sweet.

I know I haven't posted in a really long time, about 9 weeks because that is how long I have been feeling morning sick but I think I should be turning a corner soon. Even if we haven't been posting we have been thinking of all of you, enjoying your blogs and praying for you too :)
