Laundry Basket Ride

Rachel and Mary love this new activity at our house. I put a belt through a laundry basket, they hopped in and woo hoo, they love it! I am waiting for the day when they can pull eachother around!

St. Patricks Day

We celebrated St Patricks Day this year over a couple of days. Then I actually forgot when the real day came! The girls made some a cute craft, a four leaf clover of their little green hand prints! They enjoyed sprinkling them with glitter. We had green pancakes and read a few books. I didn't get around to making the corned beef and cabbage, whoops!

Teething

Rachel hasn't been feeling so fabulous. The benefit of her screaming is it allows me to look into her mouth and get a good look inside. When I looked inside there was a huge molar on the bottom and another one coming in on top. Poor baby! She likes chewing crushed ice and loves teething tablets and tylenol.

Memphis Zoo

We love having a zoo pass! When we get a day with great weather we pack a lunch, throw the wagon in the van and off we go! Our Mother's Group met up there to play and have lunch, it was a lot of fun!

Hats

We spend many mornings in our toy room playing together. Rachel loves to say "hat" while putting hats on her head and if a hat isn't around any object will do. This one particular morning she wanted me to stack a hat, tiara and cowboy hat on her head. She is so funny!

Visiting Daddy at SCO

Mary, Rachel and I made a trip up to SCO to visit Murray. We checked out the poster for a research project he did. It was posted outside their classroom, yay Murray! Then we ate lunch together. Of course it wouldn't be a visit at SCO if we all didn't take turns having Murray check out our optic nerves in the clinic.

Let's Go For a Walk

We have been bundling up on the cold days and walking around the neighborhood. The girls love going outside, even if it is freezing. We really like the sunshine! I think it is fun to watch them walk hand in hand!

Gooey Goo

We like play-doh at our house! But we needed somehting new and decided to make "gooey goo". It is pretty neat stuff and easy to make. Mary chose to make it orange and helped with all of the measuring, pouring, mixing and kneading! Rachel didn't care for the texture so she observed.

Rental

I drove around this rental car for a week while my van was getting fixed. I got in a small accident on my way taking the girls to the zoo. It had been a little over four years since the last time I was in an accident or got a ticket. They used to be much more common in my early years of driving when I was equipped with a fast red car, no small children and poorer judgment. (Minus a small incident while visiting Murray's family but there was no damage, I just want to be totally honest).
We had a few bad weeks in February and this car business is just a small part of it. There were ups and downs but for the record I would like to mention a few events we experienced.
Mary went missing and the police came and found her.
Rachel dialed 911 on the house phone and the police paid us another visit.
The Police Department recieved 5 dozen chocolate chip cookies!
I got in an accident and I called the police who came to give me a ticket.
Mary got a high fever of nearly 104 degrees and we pulled an all nighter.
Murray got really ill and still went into school for 12 hours.
With no warning I was verbally attacked.
Really, can all of this happen to a small family? Seems like a lot to me!
Each of these could be a blog post but I will remember the details and our friends and family don't need to hear them. Goodbye February! Hello March!

Build-a-Bear

Mary got a gift card to build-a-bear for her birthday from her friend Kate. We went as a family and the girls enjoyed every second of it! When it came to making decisions Mary just said "yes" to everything, she was happy with all of it. Mary did end up choosing a bunny, picked out a heart for it, a song for the foot, stuffed her, gave her a bath, picked out her clothes, took her to her dressing room to get dressed and printed out a birth certificate on the computer! Rachel loves Bella the Bunny a lot too. Bella pretty much goes where we go and that meant Church on Sunday. Murray and I realized in sacrament that Bella does sing "Happy Birthday". Bella might not be coming with us to Church anymore!

Outside

We had a beautiful day or two last week so we tried to spend as much of the day as we could outside! We had a short picnic at the park and ran into the backyard when we got home. We knew we missed the warm weather but I think we were surprised by how much we really do love it!

The girls love our swingset!

Murray's so cool!

I am even going to include a picture of the photographer.
