Margaret bought some popcorn and Mary really enjoyed eating that and sitting in her own seat. When the movie started, Mary was pretty interested for a little while, but then wanted to get up and move around.
In the end, her favorite part was playing on the race car video game in the theater lobby. She sat on it and turned the steering wheel for a long time and loved it.
I don't know that we'll try a movie again for some time, but we are happy we went and gave it a shot.

Wow! Mary is SO big! I can't believe how much she has grown. It will be fun to see her in person next month.
Well, it was worth a try! My kids were entranced by the first hour of WALL-E, but the last hour was busy. My secret stashes of popcorn, candy, and soda held them off until the end, but the minute the credits started so did Elijah's wailing. Still, its fun to go to the movies as a little family, don't you think? :)
Don't give up on the theater trips...at least not until after you're pregnant Margaret.
Seriously, there's something about that movie theater popcorn that hits the spot when your with child!
